I’m a student, researcher, and storyteller interested in how people understand and relate to the places they live.

I’m currently pursuing an M.A. in Anthropology at Western Washington University and working with Active Societal Participation in Research & Education (ASPIRE) on projects that support community-engaged research.

Previously, I worked with Sealaska Heritage Institute in Juneau, Alaska, on culturally responsive education programs, writing about Alaska Native education and science, and helping coordinate large educational initiatives.

My background in Environmental Studies–Anthropology from Whitman College continues to shape my interests in place-based learning, cultural storytelling, and the ways research and art can come together to deepen our understanding of the world.

Hobbies include dabbling in various art forms, movie marathons, indulging in a slow summer morning, causing mischief, and bolstering my earring and trinket collections. I live to entertain those around me. To hear my loved ones laugh is the cherry on top of all that life offers me.
